The International Conference on Concessions for Works and Services, organized by the Public Procurement Office of Poland, was held on September 27, 2012 in Warsaw.
The event was designed to increase the common understanding for the draft directive, as provided for in COM (2011) 897, and facilitate further legislative process at the EU level.
The conference offered wide array of country examples on concessions supported with insight into legal conditions and country specifics. This enabled participants representing various EU Member States, EU institutions, entrepreneurs, business associations and academics to adopt a wider perspective on the on-going legislative process. The past event created an excellent occasion to raise questions and provoke a general debate on the draft directive. The conference gathered app. 130 participants.
